I have two houses in sight of each other, about 500 ft apart. I've been looking for a fast link to connect htem. Does anyone make such a link in economical packaged form?

I've seen a lot about antennas, but I don't want to risk a lot of experimenting. I've also seen laser links, but don't know of an economical one. It seems to me that somebody should be packageing a solution for htis problem by now.

If you can place your antennas in windows. You can use a pair of Linksys WAP 11s then a wire to a hub or switch for more than 1 computer.
You can use a WAP 11 and a USB V2 wireless if you need to only connect one computer.

This is line of sight between 2 windows in the houses. about 500 to 600 feet apart. you may have to move them arround a little for best reception. My son gets 54/44@ 11mbs connection. on his USB adaptor in a window at this distance
