The ASUS website gives this spec for the A7V8X MX SE motherboard:

"Socket A for AMD Athlon XP/ Thoroughbred/Barton up to 2.25GHz+"

Do they mean 3.25 GHz perhaps? I thought I had seen posts here where
a 2600+ was being used...

"2600+" != 2600Mhz! AMD uses an "P-Rating" which should shown, how fast
the specific CPU is in comparision to an Intel P4 CPU.

For example, an Athlon XP 2600+ works with 1917MHz, an Athlon XP 3200+
with 2200MHz.

Have a look at Athlon XP Datasheets for further Information.

Oops, I am confusing frequency with CPU model numbers. So, what does
2.25GHz mean in terms of AMD model numbers? Up to 3000+ perhaps?
