am running XP Home and I used to be able to drag files
into the CD-RW drive and then write with XP. Now it seems
that it is not recognising the drive as recordable.
(But it will still work in specialist burning software,
but I find this slow and inconvenient.)
When I right click on the drive in my computer the
recording tab is not there any more.
I have read Knowledge base article 316529 and have checked
the registry settings under Drive Type. The value was 2 as
it should be for a CD-RW, so no luck there. I even set it
to 3, rebooted, then set it back to 2 and rebooted again.
Nothing makes any differnce I cannot get the recording tab
back to let me select 'enable recording on this drive'.
I am really stuck here and do NOT want to have to reformat
c.
If anyone does have any suggestions I would really
appreciate it if, after posting advice if you could check
back to see my results.
I have also tried Kellys Korner but it suggests exactly
what the Knowledge base article does.
Thanks in advance for any help.
