I have a Wireless MS Intellimouse Explorer 2.0 & I've
installed the new Intellimouse 5.1 software/drivers.

Before installing the new intellimouse software, if I
couldn't use the large & small thumb buttons in some
games (by trying to assign commoands in the game to the
buttons) I could go to the mouse control panel & then
assign a keystroke to these buttons for any game (or
program).

Now I can't do this anymore with Intellimouse 5.1

I can't use the large & small thunb buttons in some games
now. How do I make these buttons work in some games?

That feature is not available in Intellipoint 5.1

MSFT is working to put it back in the next version of Intellipoint.

As for why it isn't working in some games, the games must be written to
support the 4th and 5th mouse button.

Yes, I know that but I used to reprogram the button on
Intellimouse. Now I can't. Seems pretty daft!
