Modem wakes the computer with every telephone call. Even when it's disabled, and wake option turned off! Help!

During boot up, enter BIOS and disable "Wake on Modem Activity" (or whatever
your particular BIOS calls it). See your motherboard manual for details.

When you first turn your PC on, go into your BIOS and
browse it's menu's until you find the modem options. You
can turn it off here.

WARNING: DO NOT ADJUST ANY BIOS SETTINGS IF YOU DON'T
KNOW WHAT TO DO. IF YOU DO CHANGE ANYTHING ACCIDENTALLY,
FIND THE "EXIT WITHOUT SAVING CHANGES" OPTION!!!

If this doesn't work, turn your PC off at the mains
outlet so it doesn't have any power to be able to boot up
with when someone phones you.
