Keyboard problem

I have a computer that has been running fine for some
time now. Recently it began exhibiting a strange
behavior. On one user only, the keyboard does not work.
Everytime a key is struck the computer beeps but the
characher does not show up on the screen. I have been
using Word to test this problem out. The keyboard works
fine for all of the other users but not for this one. I
tried swapping the keyboard out for a know good one but
the problem persists. I assume it must be some user
setting but I can't figure out what it is. Thanks for
the help with this wierd one.
