I'm looking to upgrade to a better ethernet card for my computer to converse with my cable modem. Any suggestions on a high quality ethernet card? I will at some point in the future be wiring my new house to be a complete network for my main computer and my laptop, but right now am focusing simply on the ethernet card for my pc. Thanks in advance for any responses.

3Com makes the best Network cards on the market. They have done so for many years.

You will have to pay the price for a 3Com NIC if you want to go with the best.

Also, 3com offers a lifetime warranty on it's network cards.

The 3COM 3C905B-TX is not a bad 10/100mbps card.
