(2)IDE devices recognized as SCSI on raid board

I have a "A-Bit" kt7a-Raid MB
IDE1 = wd80hdd system xp-pro (ntfs)
IDE2 = dvd rom(master) dvd burner(slave)
IDE3 = wd80hdd junk files (ready to format)(fat32)master
IDE4 = wd80hdd 15000+ mp3 files (fat32)master
512M pc100 sdram
I fdisk'd and formatted with xp-pro disk for ntfs file
system, did a fresh install,found all the drivers for the
peripherals,etc.

problem (1) The original o/s was 98se (fat32) the hdd
(s) on IDE(s)3+4, the "device manager" shows them, and
shows them as SCSI drives of course they aren't.

problem (2) The disk manager shows the drives as,
healthy, active, basic, but with no drive letter and the
only options are to "delete the partition", and "help"
the disks are located to bus #s "0" and "1". Partition
style is Master Boot Record (MBR).

Rick, I tried that but to no avail, so I pulled the HD
(s) from the "Highpoint" raid section.
I have installed one of the drives as a slave to the
master on IDE1, system still sees it, no longer as SCSI,
but the slave has no drive letter, it is still "healthy
and active",and is inaccessable.
Can xp, installed in the "NTFS" read a "fat32", or not?

You can do that from Control Panel>AdminTools>Computer Manage>Disk
Manage.
