I am experiencing a situation where the screen on my IPAQ 4350 scrolls text
and buttons (like Next or Finish) off the screen and I can't scroll over to
get to them and tap them. Specifically, on the Bluetooth Manager screen
where it finalizes the connection to a PC over Bluetooth for ActiveSync, the
screen says to tap finish to initiate the connection. The problem is I can't
get to the finish button, or even see it for that matter, to complete the
connection. Very frustating...

Any thoughts on why I can't to see the entire screen?

Thanks,

Jerzy Sobon

By any chance did you change system fonts using a reg editor or hacking
utility?

Or did you change the font size in a similar manner?

Then that would be the reason.

The only applications that I have installed and have now removed were Pocket
Informant 5.01 and Omega Battery Pack. I never edited the registry or have
installed any hacks. Please verify for me where I can go double check what
the system fonts are set to and how to change them.

Thanks for your reply..

As a follow-up to my original question, in applications like Rescoe File
Explorer, when I go to the find files/text function, some buttons are almost
completely off the screen on the right. I can just barely tap the "Find"
button to perform a search. My point is that it is not just text, but some
applications have entire buttons off screen.

Hope this adds some more info...

Thanks,

Jerzy

I'm not sure what happened... and why you are experiencing this... Do you
ahve anything else installed like NYDITOT Virtual Display?

Try a soft reset...

If that doesn't work, can you remember exactly when this happened and what
other applications you have installed? The answer may lie there...

A collegue has the same problem with his iPaq 2210, which occured for no
reason, and no amount of soft resets will clear.
He has only a few programs installed, like Omega BatteryBar, and Idruna Pocket
Phojo, as I have, so these don't cause the problem.

Its very frustrating - I've tried helping him sort out the problem on a
couple of occasions - and I think the only hope is a full hard reset.

As a "soultion" to anyone who else may have this problem, I'm afraid Andrew
is right. I was forced to do a hard reset and surprise, everything is back
to normal. The only application I had in common with Andrew's friend was the
Omega Battery Bar. Is there anyone else who has had such a problem after
installing Omega Batery Bar??

Thanks for the help,

Jerzy
