Unfortunately I couldn’t find the answer to my current problem. Maybe you have some ideas?

I have just changed from a 27MHz Microsoft Wireless Keyboard/Mouse desktop set to a Bluetooth desktop set because I found that the two DECT phones we have were interfering to the degree where the mouse had become unusable. The Bluetooth set doesn’t seem to have the interference problems.

BUT, (and isn’t there always a but…) I have a problem with the Bluetooth setup. It won’t bring the computer out of Standby or Hibernate – something the old 27MHz set could do fine.

The computer is a clone, based on a Gigabyte motherboard, P4 2.4GHz. I have checked my computer BIOS, and the ‘USB Legacy Mode’ is enabled. The Suspend Mode is ‘S3’. I updated to the latest BIOS just in case.

I tried a Microsoft non-wireless USB Natural kb/mouse set and they worked fine (once I set the ‘Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby’ setting in Device Manager). Well, actually they could bring the computer back from Standby, but not Hibernate. I thought I’d cracked it then, but when I plugged the Bluetooth device back in, it didn’t work. Interestingly the Device Manager properties for the Bluetooth KB & mouse now don’t include the ‘Power Management’ tab.

Thanks for your help in advance,

Cathy.
