Epson R800 and Kodak papers

will you monitor the ink consumption you experience? I was told that
even the colors that don't get used much get used up w/ the numerous
clean cycles it runs. This is what he emailed me but I'd like more
opinions before I decide on ordering one. If you email drop one of the
double n's!

Hi Ron,
The R200 uses DYE based inks like most of the Epson Photo printers. The R800
uses a newer set of the PIGMENT based inks that the 2200 uses. There are
many papers that can be used in the R200/300 and older Epson printers that
are not recommended for use in the R800 and the 2200.

See: http://www.livick.com/method/inkjet/pg2d.htm for what is probably a
more accurate set of longevity tests. They were done using sunlight,
rather than fluorescent light which Wilhelm uses.
