I use to have Easy CD Creator 4 on my comp when I was
running Win Millenium. When I installed Win XP Pro I got
problems with device incompatable. I deleted Cd creator 4
but still get a devive fault on task bar. How can I get
rid of it ? Since this I've been having all sorts of
problems with my cd drives. at present I can't find them
anywhere. There not in device manager or my comp. Any help
would be appreciated. Cheers

Go to the Roxio site and the MS Knowledge Base and search on "DirectCD
uninstall". You will find several articles, each of which gives a piece of
the solution.

I just went through it, and finally got it off the system. However, I had
to re-install my Sonic MyDVD app afterwards.

When I had the same fault as you, I used windows search and ensured it
searched all files and folders including hidden folders
Ensure that you type in the full driver name in the search box

Also, I found that removing DirectCD is not as easy as looking at 1 file.
There are several uninstall tips on both the Roxio site and the MS Knowledge
Base. I needed a combination of 4 of them to finally get rid of it.

I'll never buy Roxio, nor install another bundled/freebie app from them!

There are detailed removal instructions at the Roxio website.
