USB speedtouch modem

Hi

OS = windows 98 SE
processor AMD ATHLON XP 2400+
chipset VIA KM266
motherboard k7 triton ga-7vkmp-p

Problem:

I have a speedtouch usb adsl modem, i have up to date
drivers for this. The problem is that the modem does not
synchronise with the adsl line. I know that the problem is
not the modem as i have another pc and the modem works
with this fine. The modem is powered by the pc. Have
installed the uhcb.sys file but this did not help. Is the
problem between the chipset/motherboard and the modem.

Stuart: This is a XP newsgroup and you are using Windows 98.

However, you can try the following:

1) Download and install the latest VIA 4 in 1 Hyperion chipset drivers

2) Download and install the VIA USB filter.
