I bought a Kingston ValueRAM Dual Channel Kit KVR400X64C3AK2/1G going
by the QVL from the web site but the manual for the P4C800e deluxe
lists KVR400X64C25 for Kingston. Did I get compatible ram?

Why doesn't Asus correct this in the manual? Which is the correct
Kingston ram?

The manual may not be updated (I don't know).
But, according to this
http://usa.asus.com/products/mb/socket478/p4c800-e_d/P4C800_DDR400_QVL.pdf
(line 6 of the table) you have got the correct RAM.

For starters you are waffling on about 2 diffrent sticks of ram.
1. Kingston.
2. Kingston Value.
If the book says "Kingston", which one do you think they mean?
