SATA setup(F6) after system install. Can it be done w/o ne..

It's certainly worth trying - I had a problem with XP
setup not detecting SATA drives at all until I used a
floppy with the drivers during setup. It was an Asus A7N8X
mobo, so the drivers should be the same (I assume they use
the same RAID controller). Is windows installed on another
drive, or is it just the two SATAs? If you've got one
drive in there already, you could use the drivers on the
CD that came with the mobo originally.

Your Raid bios screen should become available during/just after post but
before the operating system takes control. If you are not getting the DOS
RAID bios screen then it is not an XP issue but rather a hardware issue.

The F6 option is only used for installing the OS on a new drive which does
not have the raid controller SW. If it is just an extra drive without OS
the F6 option would not come into play.

You might try just running your SATA drives one at a time to see if one has
died on you. Not the best of news but could cause the problems you are
talking about. Also if available try different data cables as they have
also been know to be flakey.
