I have tried to HotSync my Soly Clie and came upon a Fatal Error that froze my PDA. I recently bought a Palm Zire for my husband and the same thing occurred. Is there a problem with XP that I can fix or with the HotSync program?

Sounds like a problem with Hotsync program, nothing to do with XP.
Download update from Sony or Palm's web site.
