After upgrading to Win7 x64 i can't install drivers for my GF 8800 GTS.

Windows have installed this for me (drivers themselves are fine, but I want to have control panel):
Driver Name: nvd3dumx.dll,nvwgf2umx.dll,nvwgf2umx.dll,nvd3dum,nvwgf2um,nvwgf2um
Driver File Version: 8.16.0011.9062 (English)
Driver Version: 8.16.11.9062
DDI Version: 10
Driver Model: WDDM 1.1
Driver Attributes: Final Retail
Driver Date/Size: 8/17/2009 00:57:00, 9380352 bytes

I have tried to uninstall default drivers and than install:
190.62_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_international_whql
or
191.07_desktop_win7_winvista_64bit_international_whql

Installation stops on about 1/4 of the process, hangs there for a while and than ends setup with failure message.

Solution
With Nvidia drivers, always do the following:

1) UNINSTALL current driver.
2) Reboot into safe mode
3) Use an app like Driver Sweeper to get rid of any left-over pieces.
4) Reboot normally and install the new driver.

A bit time-consuming, but it will save you a lot of headaches.
