I think the general gossip is this
you take your athlon core
make it 64bitness and more efficent
throw in a memory controller
then chop off 32 bits and you have the sempron
I think they are all 32b but the 754 uses the onboard memory controller

IIRC, AMD is supposed to release Sempron for Socket 754 first then 462.

Both..
But I dont think you really want one, the 754 one is good because of the
memory controller, a 462 board would be much better done with a mobile 2500+
oc'd a bit
the PR ratings of the Sempron is to counter the Celeron(D?) chips.. so a
3200+ sempron would not be as good as an axp 3200+
