Syncronizing Hp iPAQ 1940 with PC with XP Office

Dear All,

I've recently bought my wife a Hp iPAQ 1940 and she wants
to syncronize Outlook on her Sony Vaio laptop (running
Office XP) with this unit.

Is there an easy step guide to do this, as the details
with the unit are most confusing (leaving the user to
manually choose their preferences, but we don't know
exactly what these are to best achieve what we want)
