I just noticed on the ASUS download page that there is a brand new
BIOS update listed for my P4P800 Deluxe. Does anyone if its possible
to get a change log or readme for these updates to see what ASUS
added/fixed? There's nothing in the ZIP file. Just curious.

I have the P4P800 and just loaded the beta 1017.004 which adds added support
for the Prescott processor, which I am running 3.0E ghz Intel.
I will keep searching but i can't seem to locate the revision history file i
was looking at, LOL

On the Asus downloadpage click "more" under the Biosupdate for your MB and
you 'll see what problems are solved with this Biosversion.

D'oh! I had clicked on the 'more...' link and only saw the warnings
about EZFlash, ASUSLiveUpdate, etc. I didn't realize the change-log
stuff was listed under these items if you scrolled down.

Thanks!

There is a released version (I think) of the 1017 bios for the
P4P800 and deluxe (10/8/04).

BUT ASUS (I think) forgot to put it under the right tab (it's under the beta
NOT
the latest tab). BUT doesn't tell you WHAT the 1017 does
or what was added to it. Well I've flashed whats under the beta tab
and it says 1017, not 001,002,003, or 004.

Seems to work OK. BUT it would be nice to know what it actually
fixes! Or what it does.
