P4C800-E Dlx- I don't see the BIOS version listed when the PC boots up, I
have hit the pause button, I have looked in the BIOS menus, I must have
missed it; where is it?

Thanks,

On the P4P800-E Deluxe board, you press DEL while it's booting to enter the
BIOS setup. At the bottom of the Main window is "System Information."
Scroll down to that and press Enter. The BIOS version is listed on the next
page.

On the very 1st Screen after turning on my computer, (have the Asus Logo
thing
turned off), just under the Triangular AMI Logo is:-

AMI BIOS (C) 2003 American Megatrends, Inc.
ASUS P4C800-E ACPI BIOS Revision xxxx

Where xxxx=Bios version number. eg.1017

You have to be quick in looking for it, but once you know where it is,
you'll know where it is for all eternity,

It is possible to use CPUz (Google it for a free download) or several other
utilities that will give the details of your system or you could use the
AsusUpdate utility and in it is a selection to identify the current BIOS. I
am not sure I would use the Update utility to actually update the BIOS,
however. There certainly may be other ways to determine which BIOS your
system has. Good luck. (stuck this reply first in the wrong posting...DUH)
