Hi there

When the cable modem is plugged in and am trying to shutdown my laptop(windows xp prof) it stays in status windows
shutting down but never does. ran a test without cable modem and without power cord using only the battery and it
shuts down in few seconds.
any help , will be great. am very new to the PC world .
