Just how would a SP mess up your hardware?

Of course it won't screw up you P4T board. It may cause some software
configuration issues though. Just disable the built-in firewall and other
security features if they give you any problems. I've loaded SP2 on 6
different systems in my house without any issues at all.

I agree with DanO, well up to a point. Some people have had a few problems,
as he said they are mostly firewall related. I have installed it on two
machines at home, had problems on one but after uninstalling and then
upgraging a coule of programs I have re-installed and it has been alright
for the last 5 or 6 days.

There's no particular reason that it should.
