First is there any differences in the memory requirements for these 2
boards? I ask, because specific memory is listed as recommended in the
spec sheet for the A7NX8 Deluxe, but not for the A7NX8-E Deluxe. And
if there are differences, could someone explain them?

The -E Deluxe does have a recommended memory list...

I have used both models, both using the suggested Samsung RAM and
performance has always been flawless.

Apart from the Asus WiFi slot and a slightly newer version of the Nvidia
nForce2 chipset there isn't much difference between the two models.

One difference is that the E version will do 400mhz much more reliably
than the original version of the board. It also has a gigabit network
port.
