Wouldn't you need a RAID5 card then? So with that card wouldn't the RAID
work just lke it would with any other motherboard?

That motherboard has on-board RAID. In addition to the two normal IDE
connectors, and two SATA connectors, done through the chipset, there's an
on-board RAID controller with four additional SATA connectors.
So far, it does *not* seem to work very seamlessly, at least for RAID5
