Is it possible to play a DVD in your old CD player?
Better yet - is it possible to play your CDs in your cassette player?

No - you have to have a DVD drive to play DVDs. DVD drives will play CDs,
because DVDs are the next generation, but the backwards compatability does
not go forward. heh
