hi
I've just put a Compaq GSM sleeve - purchased second hand- (comlete with
working sim card) onto my 3970 and geta message confirming that the
IHUInstalled a software update and that the system will re-boot.

The first two times I attached the sleeve it worked fine without any error
messages. Then I phoned the number on the SIM card and got a ringing tone
from the other mobile. When I pressed the button on the back of the sleeve I
got an unobtainable tone on the other handset and then the problems began.

Now on rebooting I get a Fatal Application notice quating Program: Wireless
Pack.exe
Exception: 0xc00000fd
Adress:80079558
and insrtuctions to contact the vendor if it continues.

Can anyone tell me what is going on or/and who I should contact (the seller
was a private individiual and cannot help). Also he was using WIndows2002 on
his PDA which supported the sleeve and I did not get any software with the
unit. Can anyone recommend a suitable source for third party software or
should I upgrade to 2003 (assuming that the above problem is solved!!)

Thanks
Nick

As far as I remember GSM sleeve does not work with iPAQs running WM 2003.

I believe (but am not sure) that the previous owner was using 2003 but I am
using 2002. my problems/solutions are 2002 oriented.
