I am planning to get a new system since currently I have a 950mhz machine. Anyways I was wondering what the current release date for DOOM 3 is?

It's not going to be released until a couple more games that are better come out so that when we finally play it we think it looks like crap.

They want it to be outdated before they release it. It's a new marketing technique of selling "antique" games at a high price. Doom3 will be sold on the global markets as a commodity. They might just hold auctions for it.

I heard that it was going to be released late July, but that was a while ago so has probably been moved back now.

Whats even worse then that is when you do buy a game, played it then finished it. Months after when you get your subscription to PC Gamer, you get a demo For the game you allready finished.

Based on everything we've heard you should expect late July and no earlier, perhaps even into early Sept., but definitely not later than that. They said it may not be out before this year's QuakeCon, but definitely late summer. This was supposed to be a big year for games, but with the exception of Far Cry there haven't been any real killers yet.

Hey guys, I know this question is a little bit off the topic, I might be wasting my time, but is there a release date for Doom 3? No one seems to mention this game, and there is almost no info about it on the internet, which is weird because I think it looks really neat...

The best guess that I have is july 14 - july 20. That is the eta futureshop/eb games give respectivly.
