Cyclic Redundancy Check error on CD created by PowerPoint ..

I am unable to open a ppt presentation due to this error. It there anyway I can recover any of the presentation? It's a large powerpoint presentation that will take many days to recreate. The CD speed is 4x-10x. OS is Win XP Pro.

Did you use the proper speed-rated CDs for burning?
