Distorted sounds/video

Today i turned on my computer and I noticed the windows login sound was very distorted, choppy and slow. Videos on wmp are also very choppy and the sounds are distorted.

The computer was working fine the night before and I'm not sure how to fix this.

Try defragmenting, or do a disk repair.
From there reboot, also make sure your connections are seated properly. Alot of the time bumping or moving your pc will shift the connections abit.
