With such a bold prediction like that I'll be lucky to go 50/50.

Nah, Skins all the way mate.

Panthers are hot too.

Didn't you hear? Brunell broke his ankle skiing yesterday and Portis was shot in the leg while running from a liquor store hold up.

You been reading the good ole' Skagit River Daily Bugle again, W? The last news story they got right was Clinton's Blowjob fiasco.

Mate, we're cool. I'm more confident today then I was at the start of the week and I've laid $200 smackers on them so its cool.

Hmmm. That I dont know.

I really liked Carolina last week but the Bears seem to have such a good season rolling.

Touch call.

Bears, I reckon, in a tight one.

Reply to BomberBill

yea that bears game is a tough one to figure

Indy will beat the Steelers in the first half and use the second half to tune up for next week.

Two things bug me (although I think the Seahawks will win):

1. Washington won the 1st game - Gibbs figured out a way to stop Alexander, and can do it again.

2. Mark Brunell (Skins QB) played his college ball in Seattle (U of W) and knows how to play in the rain ... and rain is predicted.

Note: The weather, I'm convinced, beat the Bucs last week ... and might play into Washinton's hands again this week. Bummer.

You got 75% - too bad about the colts ... it was what I figured, they wern't up to game speed soon enough ... had they not sandbagged the last few games (and got their timing off) they might have won.

This weekend coming:

Seattle v Carolina: Carolina by 3

Denver v Steelers: Denver by 2.5

That's all I'm willing to go ... this is not a sports book, just my beer drinking instinct ... 8O

It's possible this year's Superbowl could be The Tale of the Two Jakes

The Steeler defense looked like a carbon copy of what Denver's was on Saturday. A defense that was put together in the off season by Shanahan specifically to beat the Colts in the playoffs.

I'm giving both home teams the edge this weekend tho...

Seattle by 10
Denver by 1

I'll take some of that Carolina + 10 points ... if you want to go that way?

Reply to Jake_Barnes

Heh heh...I think we all learned a lesson about gambling from Bomber.
BTW, where is that boy? Maybe sold into slavery to pay off his debt.

I have no idea what the official spread is today, but it would surprise me if it is over 3.5 points. My gut feeling is that the Panthers cannot win in a shootout with the Seakawks. If the game becomes a defensive struggle then I think Carolina has a very good chance of winning. Having said all that, I think it is about time for Seattle to put up another 40+ point effort.

Hang on _WW_ ... I just read about a key starter for Carolina that broke his leg in the Chicago game ... my offer is offically rescinded ... got to pay closer attention ... 8O
