Onboard sound AND soundcard?

Asus P4C800E Deluxe in Sonata case

Is it possible to connect the onboard sound (so that I have a headset
plug in the front of the machine, AND run my regular soundcard - Audigy
2ZS?

You could but would not get the same sound(from CD, or whatever)out of both
as only one card can be used
