Hi, my case has a firewire port at the front, but I'm unsure as to whether
my motherboard is capable. How does this port connect? I can see nothing in
the motherboard manual that specifically refers to firewire, does it have
its own connection or a generic one?

Anyone with the same mb who can inform me would be golden...

There is a socket on the lower edge of the MB, clearly marked
IEEE1394. Be careful not to get the Firewire and USB2 sockets miced
up. You should also see the port listed in Device Manager.

The firewire cable differs from the USB cable - look for 1394 stamped on
the cable jacket - that's the firewire cable.
