How?
My usb flash key drive, a Shikatronics Travelling disk, has been installed
with DOS. It was formatted, and made bootable on an Asus P4P800VM, and
boots quite happily with either W98, W98se or WME DOS.
POST on my A7N8X detects the USB Generic USB Flash drive, but will not boot
from any USB setting available in BIOS. Removing all other possible boot
options, then setting up each possible USB option one at a time,I still
cannot boot from the USB key.
From within Windows, the key functions as it should.
Is it possible to boot from a USB device (key or HDD) on an A7N8X Deluxe
2.0? Is the format and bootability of the key disk or HDD dependant on
which mobo it was made bootable on?
On a side note, what DOS (MS, DR, PC) or prebuilt Linux (that will run
GHOST4,7,7.5 or 8) installed to a USB Key disk or USB HDD can break the
137GB 48bit LBA on those boards that have a compatible BIOS/chipset?
