Hi all,

I am wondering if an ASUS A7V133 MOBO will run an AMD 1.7. I thought that i
have read that people were running this high on this board and am just
wondering if this is true. If it is I have one of these cpu's I would like
to put in. If it can is there anything special that needs to be done?

Thanks for the help.

Jeff

This is what Asus says:
http://www.asus.com.tw/support/cpu [...] pport.aspx

It all depends on the motherboard version, Bios version and the Athlon
XP 1700+ should be a Palomino.

Some people succeeded, with a lot of luck, in running not by Asus
sanctioned configurations.

I got the XP 2000+ running at 54°C, (Asus Probe) not overclocked...

Check the web page Eric P. posted.. It's all there.

Thanks to both for the replies. This info has changed since the last time I
looked on Asus web site. When I had looked (it has been a few months) it was
saying at that time that the highest was ony like a 1.4 or 1.5

Thanks,

JEff
