Hello Teddytrout;

Did you check to see if EZTune has an available update?

This support topic might also apply to you. Especially the part about contacting EzTune support to report issues not listed.

Use Windows 7 Device Driver update option to try and find an updated monitor driver.
At the Start Menu type drivers into the search bar.
From the Control Panel section choose Update Device drivers.
In the Device Manager window that opens find the Monitor section & click the little triangle open to see your monitor.
Right mouse click on your monitor and choose Update Driver Software and choose Search Automatically for Updated Driver Software.

If Win7 can't locate an updated driver search the Gateway website and see what they have available. Nothing found?
Check the Gateway support forums to see what other FPD2185W owners are doing with Win7.

Thanks for the feed back, been there and done that. It always finds a new driver , uploads it and installs, has to reboot and then it goes back into that loop again. I have a duel display setup. I also have other problems with the 64 bit version of Windows as well. I think it has a lot to do with the box I'm using XW HP9300 Workstation with duel CPU's , 2 GB of ECC per CPU. A EN9800GT video card. and 3 -UW SCSI 79GB HD. Iomega 1 TB for backup. Windows backup will not work and I use EASEUS instead. When I'm running the Windows cleaner it finds all these errors but kacks out at the very end and gives me a 0X10600C06 error that has no real fix. Win 7 -64 is not a good working system for me.

Have you tried a driver update with only the Gateway FPD2185W attached?

Thank you for contacting Portrait Displays Technical supports.

Unfortunately, Gateway has decided to discontinue to use EzTune software and we stop supporting EzTune software.
EzTune will not work on Windows 7 OS. Please uninstall it from your
system.

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you,
Kevin

It seems that the best answer to my question is the one I just pasted from tech support and that is there is NO support any longer for Gateway monitor and EzTune
