I don't know why my external drive, which
says "Suppot USB2.0!", doesn't work well
in USB2.0 mode. It often gets frozen and
then disappears. But it works perfectly
in USB1.1.
Does anyone know how to force it back to
USB1.1 mode? Cuz whenever I plug it in,
it's automatically in USB2.0 mode.
Thanks in advance!!!!

If your do not have SP1 installed, you won't have USB2.0 speed. Also check
in your device manager to see, under USB devices, if you have an 'enhanced
USB controller' listed.. That is another key...

Thank you very much.
I've installed SP1 and it's enhanced controller.
My other USB2.0 devices work well.
I wonder if there's something in the registry
where I can force it back to USB1.1.

What kind of external drive is it? It could be the
interface in the drive enclosure needs a firmware update,
have you checked that out?
