i downloaded zone alarm and put it on our server as protecting a "network" during install.... then no one could connect to anything. no internet, no apps.... did i set it up wrong? it was tough to keep track of, and read all the pop up messages... there were over 200 over and over.....

First of all are we talking the free version, or the professional version I wouldn't reccommend the free version for a server, even though some may argue differently. Zone alarm is very user friendly, it will almost configure itself, but if you don't give a program permission to access the net its not going to access it, Zone Alarm will block it. Zone Alarm comes with a tutorial, you need to read it, it will tell you what to do, if you're still having problems post back, I've been running ZAP for about 2 years now.
