I have a thinkpad t40 and updated the bios to the latest
version. Now when i go into suspend, eg close cover, it
won't come out. I have to do a hard shutdown and
restart. IBM support says that I have to reinstall XP
and start over with the new bios. Is there anyway to fix
this without starting over? PS IBM won't guarantee that
this will work! i need the new bios to install and run a
mini pc adaptor for a/b/g wireless

Just to clarify, do you have XP SP1 and later updates?
XP come preinstalled with the Thinkpad?
