Asus P5GDC-V gameport not working

Archived from groups: alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.asus (More info?)

Howdy guys, whenever I enable the game port in the BIOS, XP won't
boot....it just locks up after the post check, with a cursor in the
top left of the screen....presumably right at the first instance of
loading the OS....
I've switched all the possible IRQ and addresses around but to no
effect....

any help with this would be much appreciated
