After upgrading from 2000 to XP Pro (why did I do it???) my DVD drives have gone MIA. I had Easy CD Creator 5 installed, which I removed. I have the latest motherboard drivers. I tried the registry fix suggested by Microsoft and others on this forum (delete filters), but it had no effect. I cannot reinstall drivers because the drives do not appear in the device manager at all. What to do now?

Thanks for the suggestions. The registry fix didn't work and I lost patience and reinstalled XP (repaired the installation). That fixed it. But the link on CD burning was valuable in its own right, so thanks for that.
