hard drive question (im dumb!!!)

rite ive just installed an 80 GB drive and when i installed i partitioned it to 2 lots of 40 gb. do i need to install windows on both partitions because only one is showing up?!

All is OK if Windows is installed on the first partition,
or Drive C. Under Disk Management, look for the presence
of the second partition. It needs to be formatted in order
for it to be seen by Windows.

click on start, control panel, administrative tools, computer management,
disk management.
