Am gonna see about buying a Speedtouch 510v4 Router/switch for connection 4 PCs to the one broadband connection... only £100 GB... is this one of the best for this price or is there a better one about ???

did that, ended up buying a Netgear DG814 instead... looks to be quite good (I hope, all I need now is a broadband connection in my house...)

Glad you've found something to your liking. I recommend popping in and out of that forum for info on ADSL stuff. It's second to none for UK ADSL info.

This is annoying, HAve ADSL now, but the router will not connect, have a USB ADSL modem, same settings used (from my ADSL co) & it blimmin works fine !!!

the manual isnt great, the telephone line for support is always queued so I ask U, how do I change the WAN port address, that is the only thing I havent fiddled with yet... (assuming the WAN address is the IP I was given from my ADSL supplier)

that & for some reason when I network with me bro, he can see me but I cant see him (both win XP) but I can successfully ping him !!! any notions why gratefully excepted (except for 'it is Microsoft SW so expect the strange')
