Good day;
Thinking of upgrading from a P4PE w/ P4-2.53 to a P4P800 w/ P4-3.0 C and new
ram (DDR400)
will i see a big difference ?
Thanks !

Why not boost the bus speed first? This board and these processors can
take a fair bit of boost and still be rock solid. You should definitely
reach 3.0+ with your 2.53 cpu

Do you have money to burn? Are you going to use the RAID setup? If not, OC
the cpu by a few MHz and be happy. This would be a kickass web box, word
unit, etc. But for games, maybe the other would be the way to go.

What are your intentions for the system? You don't mention that fact.

Since the P4PE will take the 800 mhz chips and use DDR400 to do it,why
change the board? The overclock on this will exceed the 3.0C. Maybe put
the money towards????

it will only accept one 512 module last time i checked, has this changed?
512 is really a minimum these days, so why limit yourself?
