Hi all,

Ive just bought this mouse and cant set the extra buttons
or the scroll wheel button as an in game controll.Ive
searched the support sight and found the problem and a
supposed fix but its not possible to do it this way unless
im blind. heres what it says :

SYMPTOMS
When you assign the wheel button on one of the Microsoft
IntelliMouse pointing devices listed in the "Applies to"
section of this article to a game action that repeats as
long as you hold the button down, such as walking or
running, the game action may be interrupted when you press
another button on the pointing device.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, assign the wheel button to use a
key on the keyboard that is not assigned to a game action
or to a Microsoft Windows command.

Note You must install the Microsoft IntelliPoint software
before you follow the steps for your appropriate operating
system.
Microsoft Windows XP
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click Mouse.
On the Wheel tab, configure the Wheel Button box to use a
key on the keyboard that is not assigned to a game action
or to a Windows command.
Click OK.

Problem is theres no keys in this selection that arnt
windows functions.

you have cut / paste ,New and close etc no actual keys
like it says to do.

is there anyway to solve this?

thanks for reading,

steve.

The problem is with the Intellipoint version 5 drivers. Mircosoft had
forgotten to re-activate the extra asignments for the extra mouse buttons.
They are supposed to be working on a revised version.
