Hi all,
I'm in the midst of a long and drawn-out search for the perfect (cheap)
colour laser.

I'm waiting to get samples back from GCC but looking at the printer (body)
and specs for the GCC 16DN, it looks and sounds identical to the Xerox c1618
with memory and Postscript options, but costs over double the price of the
1618.

GCC claims much better graphics and state a palette of 16M colours at
1200dpi, Xerox don't state a colour palette but true 1200 dpi with the 256Mb
memory upgrade (which is the standard memory for the GCC 16DN).

Apart from the omission of a stated palette colour-depth in the Xerox spec,
I can't see much difference between these two.

Anyone have any enlightening information for me about this? I'd really
appreciate it before I turn into a voluntarily brain-dead consumer.

Thanks

Eddie Trimarchi
