Did clean install of WinXP Pro SP2 on A7V based PC (Duron 1300, 256 MB
SDRAM). Put 80 GB HD (HD0) on ATA/100 Primary as Master and a 2nd 80
GB HD (HD1) on ATA/100 Secondary as Master. Used this for years with
WinME without probs.

But with XPsp2, got consistent system freezes with HD1 and probably
HD0.

Changing both HDs to the normal IDE controllers removed the problem
but they run as UDMA4 (UMDA5 on ATA/100).

Have got latest driver for the Promise controller.

Suggestions, anyone?
