What's needed to play TFC?

Hey all-

I played TFC when it was first out, but haven't played for a couple
years. Picked up the adrenaline pack at a local used bookstore, and am
trying to install it. I've managed to get half life updated to
1.1.1.0, and I've downloaded and installed gamespy, but I can't
connect to any games. I've downloaded and installed the steam client,
but it doesn't do anything.

When I try to connect through gamespy, I either get a socket error, or
a message saying my connection build (46) is out of date, I need 47.

What do I need to find/install to play TFC again?

to play TFC you've needed just to install HL and steam programms and be
connected to internet. It's finished to used Gamespy. When you install
Steam , you'll have to registred you to steam with a nickname , a
password and the serial number of your package (y hope it's a original
and that nobody has created before an account to steam with it).
And normaly, that's works. At each connexion, stean is updated automaticaly.
