cant copy cd

i try to copy a cd from d drive to e drive by draggint it , it say it finish the files are in the cd i finish copying but it does not start when inserted in the d drive it says please insert the rigth cdrom and try againg what can i do i have a 2400 dell dimmention 2.40 512 ram a20 hard dive

What application are you using to drag and drop the files?
