Hi All:
I bought an HP Laptop (zd7000 series Model zd7188cl) with
WIN XP Home edition installed. I upgraded it to Win XP
Professional and now the USB ports do not work. They do
no acknowledge any peripheral or device. In Device
Manager every thing is fine. Now yellow signs. I have
turned power off and on. HP Help is useless.

Thanks

Jamal

Hello

Hp will not help because you loaded XP Pro and that
laptop came with XP hm so they will only support what
was origianlly on the laptop. That's why it's better to do a clean
install than a upgrade you will have problems.

You can try removing the USB device and reboot and
let XP try and find the correct drivers, but maybe in the
end you will end up relaoding windows.
